In May, Louisiana and Illinois joined Florida in the march towards insurance reform by madtaing that insurance carriers offer coverage for autism related claims. While the bills have yeat to be signed by the respective State Governors, it is apparent that states are starting to see they cannot handle the gowing epedmic of autism related cases on their own.
As the financial burden grows on the state's budget, they are starting to realize they need to turn to the insurance industry and force them to provide coverage for this ilness. Perhaps it is time TACA gets involved and starts a grass roots campaign to get California on the insurance reform bandwagon and get our children covered as well.
